Blessed Brother Sirvante, On: Insightful Thinking!

State of mind!  Or, the process of thought.  To which the greater evil?  Or, to which do we find the greater good?  State of mind is often a legal term used in court proceedings to determine the intent of the perpetrator.  Or  the assailant as some might like to say.  What people think and how they act on  what they think, is absolutely critical in determining a person's motives for why they do what they do.  Have you ever heard the term, the devil made me do it!  It's terminology often used by people to cover up their inappropriate acts.  Or to somehow try to justify a central character weakness.  Truth is, we all carry fallibility on our backs like a snow storm in the middle of Alaska!  Which brings up a whole nother set of issues and questions.  The first one is, if you didn't like snow storms what are you doing in Alaska.  And the second one is, if you had to be there why didn't you take precautions to stay out of the storm!  Like in a desert oasis, proper preparation is the key to survival.   Otherwise you might get burned!   And there might not be anybody there to help you out.  I can't count the many times that I've woken up in need of help, only to look around and find myself very much alone!  To this day I have yet to think of a more empty feeling.  Have you ever been in a crowd and yet you feel you're standing there all by yourself.  No help; no aid; no comfort!  Just you and the lonely recesses of your own mind.  Making peace with self is probably one of the most difficult things a person ever has to do.  But it is critically necessary if we are to survive and continue to move forward in an ever changing and complex world. Harmony and unity can often times, and should go hand and hand!  It's hard to understand others unless we understand the weakness's in ourselves first.  Because when we can concur our own internal conflicts then we can approach life no longer from a position of weakness;  but rather from a position of strength! Because the darkness from within has fallen pray to the victory of the light!   Revelation is little more then seeing what is, based on what's to come.   And when we figure that out then we can move forward as a person, as a people, and as a society that prides it's self on the humanitarian aspects of a better tomorrow!  For yesterday is lost;  and today has already gone;  but in tomorrow we may always know the fulfillment of the hopes for today.  Find peace in your hearts, and you may find the beauty of a golden horizon shining bright on today; and building bridges for tomorrow.  And let the light be your crown! For God's glory is always a directive best understood from the head up!  We must all bow down to lift ourselves up to glory.   For it has forever been known that in defeat, we often find our greatest victories!

Blessed Brother Sirvante, In: Seeking the Sublime!

Sometimes as we go through life, we find ourselves seeking a place where we can have a collective perception of our true destiny from all parameters of our existence. Everybody likes to put their best foot forward.  And everybody likes to be seen in the best possible light.  The challenge is to properly place yourself in a position to be receiving of the blessing.  It's hard to understand the goodness of God, while basking in the pits of darkness!  In 2nd Corinthians, Chapter 8, verse 8, it reads:( I am not ordering you to do this.  I am simply testing how real your love is by comparing it with the concern that others have shown.)
Life is a continuum!  And the people in it come and go.  But there is one thing that remains steadfast in all your existence.  The love of truth as brought forward through the inner depths of your soul.  I exist because I am; I am because I exist! When you reach inside yourself, and find the truth of the beauty of God!  Others are able to find God's truth in you.  Sometimes we have to ask ourselves, what are we really fighting for?  If the price of redemption is already payed for the love of Christ Jesus! Why are you still grasping at the air?  So many great moments in life have been lost because of  overreaching. And so much happiness has been destroyed in the hope of over seeking.  It's funny how you can just wake up one day and find that everything you thought was secure is just gone.  It's happened so many times in my life that I just began to accept it as part of my existence.  But a funny thing happened when I did.  I came to the realization that I was alright independent of others!  And I really didn't need anybody to substantiate me.  For in my heart right down to the core of my being, I knew that I was sustained in God!  And that knowledge allowed me to once again love freely.  Because it is based in the truth of  self!  Not in the perceptions of what of others!  Loving God will take you to places you never expected to go. His truth can cut you right to the core.  And then He will take you places greater than you ever expected to be!  To be sublime is not a passive existence.  In fact quite the contrary.  To be sublime is to take in all the fullness of life, and maintain the grace to keep you right in the spirit of God!  Which will allow you the parameters of the serenity we all so desperately crave. The scriptures say in  John, Chapter 15, verse 3: You are already clean because of what I have said to you.

Blessed Brother Sirvante, On: Perception and Acceptance!

Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems to be perfect, yet you're still not quite sure.  As we go through life we so often times try to do our best to be recognized for the good works of the spirit.  We trust in judgement always for a better day!  Our hopes! Our dreams! And all things we hold near and dear can sometimes be summed up in the simplicity of perception.  Like Apples and Pears; or Oranges and Tangerines.  Both fruits; both similar! Yet not quite the same.  Can expectations be summed up through the acceptances in life we make.  Can positions be ratified through innate understanding?  Are we not better to look for the right in all things?  Forsaking what appears to be adverse.  Can time really be the cure to a contrived state of serenity and bliss!  Is it really better to sometimes just truly go it alone.  Are our tomorrows really what's left of our yesterdays!  Is hope better spent on those who care?  Or should we extend the hand of the equality of love to all those who appear needy to receive it!  You often hear people who go along their way in life say, it's better to give than to receive!  I happen to be one of those who truly believes that! When we give to others ir-regards of our selves, our spirits are refreshed.  And our lives are renewed in faith! The teachings of Christ are not only based in perception, but rather acceptance as well.  His walk to the River Jordan, where he was refreshed in God!   His travels to Galilee, where he healed the masses!  And His prayers in faith at the Mount of Olives.  Where He pleaded with God for redemption to receive the blessing of grace.  Only  to be manifested in grace himself!  There are so many things in the world that seem way far beyond our  comprehension.  And yet we acquire to know why!  Even in the face of the dimmest of hope.  Because like sitting on a porch!  Some see it as a stoop;  while others might call it an easement; and even others still something a bit fancified like a veranda.   But in truth they're all the same thing.  A place of observation and relaxation!  I call my porch a veranda!  Because I like the feel of the open space.  And the thought takes me places I might otherwise not be able to go!  But I guess when we think about it, we're kinda already there.  We just need to focus on which is the right direction.  On my account I choose to keep my focus on God, for the love of Christ Jesus!  My lord, savior, and King!  Because in truth we will always find the light!  And in God we will always find the grace of Jesus!
